INTRODUCING THE WRINKLY RAPPERS
This newly formed crew only got together in the middle of 2008.The line up was made up of B n B and Snowy from Burnham On Sea, Somerset, and Baby Bel from Bridgwater, Somerset. Our ages ranged from 47 to 67 and we were out there to show the youngters that the older generation are cool and can have fun.
In March 2010 Snowy, the oldest member of the crew decided to "hang up her bling". This left a gap in our well cool crew, but Baby Bel & B n B are still continuing to wow audiences in Somerset. Look out for our gigs thoughout the summer.
The raps started as a reply after listening two young girls who made up a rap about older people. They said that we were not cool and did not understand the youngters. Since then due to audience demand B n B has written other raps and the alternative crew have performed their raps to raise money for charity.
In December we released our album WRINKLY RAPPERS UNRAPPED, this CD supports The Alzheimer's Research Trust, with £2 from the sale of each cd going to their really worth while work into Alzheimers and dementia. A special thanks to Brian at Horizontal Music in Worle, for supplying the backing music for our raps and for doing a brilliant job of producing the album. We would like to thank all our "young" friends who have helped with wardrobe etc. A special thankyou goes to our very own "camping boy" Shane, who has advised us on wicked phrases and well cool moves!!!
